July/August 2009

Here are some random pictures taken over the past month or so.
Went to check on him and this is what I saw...
Tried on our new outfit. He stuck his tongue out so I guess he likes it!

Close up!
My sister bought him this t-shirt when was in Canada this summer. It's too big but she wanted to see it on him. He can sleep in it for now!
Learning to hold his own bottle.
Matt and I had gone over to go swimming at my parent's house and my dad was in charge of watching Cade while we were outside. This is what happens when grandpa is supervising. He thought it would be funny to put this Dallas Cowboy's hat on Cade. We were cracking up!
Getting ready to go have lunch with the family.
My, what big feet you have! (Not really!)

Cade is obsessed with his hands. They are ALWAYS in his mouth. We have to pry them out of his mouth so we can wash them!

Life Jacket Check #3!

Here is another life jacket check! This was taken a few days ago. He just keeps getting longer, and longer..... He's four months old now!

Oliver & Cade

Oliver and Cathy came over last Friday. The boys are getting so big! They are more alert now and I think they kind of knew what was going on. Cade was excited to see Oliver! Here are a few pictures and a short video.

It's been a while...

I haven't been very good about keeping up with our blog this past month. So...I'm just going to post a lot of pictures. This week was my first week back to work. It went well. I'm working part time now - 20 hrs/week. My mom is keeping Cade. She had a blast with him this week! She can't get enough of Cade. My mom and dad love him to pieces...and of course we do too!

Lunch with my family.
Cade met his cousins for the first time!

Went to Dallas and had lunch with some of my friends from college. It was great to catch up!
(Elisa, Laura, Me, Katie and Amie)

Roscoe loves Cade!

Roscoe would bring his toy to Cade and put it in his lap. He wanted Cade to throw his toy. He didn't understand why Cade wasn't playing with him. Too funny!

Roscoe would bark at Cade. Cade just sat there so Roscoe went and got another toy! Roscoe finally gave up!

Cade has been rolling over on his own. He can go from his tummy to his back. This is where I found him after one of his morning naps. He had rolled over and moved to the front of his crib! (Yes, I let him sleep on his stomach. I know the rule on this but I can't help it...he just sleeps better on his tummy. We've been doing that for a while now.)

Megan Jerke's Shower! Allison is holding Cade. He fell asleep in her arms. We had only been there a few minutes and he was already worn out. Too many ladies to look at!

Allison and her little (or not so little) man, Bryce! He is 7 months old.

Family Reunion 2009!

I was in charge of coordinating our family reunion this year. This is for my dad's side of the family. We had it at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Marriott out by Texas Motor Speedway. It was a lot of fun and Cade got to meet the family!

2 Month Check-up

Cade had his two month check-up today. It went well. He started to get fussy towards the end but only because he was tired and hungry! He weighs 11.75 lbs and is 23 1/4 in long! He is right on track and progressing as he should be.

His favorite book!

Here is a little clip of Cade and his favorite book. He really likes the page that has the two ducks on it. Too funny! These past couple of weeks he has really started making a lot of faces, cooing, etc. It is so much fun! Hard to believe he's already two months old.

First Playdate!

We had our first playdate today...with Oliver! Oliver and Cade are one month and one day apart. There wasn't much playing going on but we still had a great time. There was playing...

And crying... (one would start to cry and then the other one would chime in!)

And tummy time...and then it was time to eat. They both fell asleep after they ate. Cade slept the whole way home and then took a three hour nap this afternoon. He was worn out!

This Week

So...it's been a long and tiring week. Poor little Cade had a fever for several days. Bless his heart! I tried to keep him cool by putting a wet washcloth on his forehead. Too cute! I was also suffering from severe migraines. We are both better now. Cade and his daddy read a book before bed tonight. Cade loves this book! I think he likes the bright colors!

Life jacket!

So we decided to put Cade in his life jacket again.... He is getting so big! I can't believe it. He'll be able to wear this in no time!

Taking a nap in the big bed!

Spending time with his grandparents

Group shot! (I was holding the camera. Took several tries to get us all in the picture.)
The fun has come to an end. Headed back to Arlington! Roscoe and Cade were worn out...

The Swimming Pool at Destin

Getting ready to get in...

Not liking it very much...sticking out the bottom lip...

A little more relaxed and starting to like it...

Ok, this isn't so bad!

Destin, FL

We just got back from Destin, FL. We had a blast! Cade was such a little trooper. My mom and dad had invited us to go with them and we didn't want to pass up the opportunity to go to the beach. I wasn't sure about Cade and the long car ride but he did quite well. I was surprised! Don't get me wrong...it was a little rough at times but we managed. It was worth it! Cade went swimming for the first time and loved it. Well, not really swimming but his daddy held him and he got to put his feet in the water. He wasn't sure what to think about it at first, but then he seemed to like it. Here are some pictures from our trip! We can't wait to go back when he's a little older and he can build sandcastles and play on the beach!

Lunch at the beach!

Grandpa, Roscoe, and Cade watching TV back at the condo.

Cade giving Gpa the fist!
