Destin 2010!

I have got to get better at updating our blog. I take pictures all the time so there is no excuse! So much has happened since my last post...I don't know where to begin. So, I will start with our family summer vacation to Destin, FL - back in May. We went with my parents and had a blast. Cade's first time on the beach! The first day out he met a girl. Her name is Hailey and she is 14 months. I guess he has a thing for older women. Cade couldn't resist giving her a kiss on the cheek. Too cute! Cade also rode on the airplane for the first time. He did great! And it was one of those small American Eagle planes. There's hardly any room on those things! On the way out there it was just the two us and then Matt flew out a couple days later. Luckily, on the way home daddy was there to help. Made things a lot easier! Here are some pics from the trip... I've got more but they are on my iphone and I can't get them off! Once I do, I will post them.

I am a little late at posting these... Catherine and Oliver had us over a couple weeks ago. We had a great time! It's so fun to watch Oliver and Cade play together. They are both becoming more mobile and able to interact with each other. We have the piano and tool bench at home so Cade thought those were his toys. They both really love the green hammer. Cade kept trying to take it away. I tried to teach him how to "share" but you know how that goes with a 10 month old. That's ok. Oliver was very patient with Cade and didn't seem to mind much.

I guess we had their attention...They are both really into technology and love phones, cameras, etc. All the things we don't want them to play with!

First Haircut!

Cade had his first haircut on Friday! My mom went with us. We had a great time! He was really good and of course it didn't take all that long... His hair had gotten pretty long in the front and it was time for a trim. We went to see my hair dresser, Amy (at Olive The Beauty Lounge). He sat in my lap while she cut his hair. Here are a few pics!

Here is a little video of Cade taking Roscoe's toy away from him. Cade cracks himself up! Roscoe is very patient and tolerates it for now. Not sure how long that will last!

Merry Christmas!

And Happy New Year! I have not been very good about updating our blog...so I am going to skip Thanksgiving and get right to Christmas! Cade is almost nine months old now. I still can't believe it! We are having so much fun with him and this is by far my most favorite age. He has started saying ma-ma and da-da. He actually said ma-ma first, and I was so excited except now that he can say da-da he doesn't really say ma-ma anymore. Oh well, that's ok. He may not say it but he's definitely a ma-ma's boy! He loves to be held and wants to be close to me whenever he can. He is also a crawling machine. He loves to chase Roscoe around the house! Cade also loves to take Roscoe's toys and dangle them in front of him. Too funny! Other than that, everyone is doing well and we are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.

So, Cade could not get enough of Chase (one of Cade's cousins. They are only a couple weeks apart in age). Cade would follow Chase around everywhere. We were all cracking up!

Each year Marvin (Pa-Pa) and Roo (Roo Roo) give the grand kids Christmas pj's. So, after multiple takes, this was the best we could do. As you all know, it was not easy getting everyone to cooperate!

And this was one of the last pictures we took...notice how all the kids are doing their own thing...starting from left to right: Chase has a hold of Kensie's hair and he is starting to cry, Braxton (in the middle) is petting Cade's head, Quinnlan is just sitting there thinking "how much longer till we are done," and it looks like Zayne is staring at the ground. Good times!!

Happy Halloween

We had so much fun with our little duck! He was such a trooper. And of course we didn't mind that he got lots of candy for mommy and daddy to eat! Here are also a few pics from earlier in the week. What a great "First" Halloween!
